Blow Fly by Patricia Cornwell
In Blow Fly, Patricia Cornwell's 12th Kay Scarpetta novel, Kay is now a private forensic consultant and is assisting in baffling murder cases in Lousiana. Jean-Baptiste Chandonne requests a visit from Scarpetta to his death row cell in return for vital information about the murders, which are being committed by his twin, Jay Talley. Kay's niece, Lucy, is also dragged into the case. Little do they know that it is all being orchestrated by an unseen mastermind. Blow Fly takes unexpected plots twists and returns characters from previous novels, some surprisingly. This novel has received mixed reviews, with the Denver Post saying, "Blow Fly is a novel of complicated relationships, near-Machiavellian maneuvers and, as usual, picture-perfect scenes in which Scarpetta's forensic expertise comes into play."
