The make matters worse, if she survives, she's to be charged with two murders in Stockholm, and the attempted murder of her Russian gangster father, who is fighting for his life in the same hospital. She teams with journalist Mikael Blomkvist to uncover the truth behind those in the Swedish government who not only threaten Salander's life, but threaten the country as well.
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest has received mostly positive reviews with the San Diego Union-Tribune saying, "But he sure knew how to put a story together, how to juggle an amazing number of plot balls without dropping any of them. And he created, in the misfit Salander, one of the most memorable characters in modern fiction."
