Hunting Eichmann by Neal Bascomb
Hunting Eichmann tells the story of Adolf Eichmann, a fanatical anti-Semite who came to run the Nazi's final solution that led to extermination of millions of Jews. After the war, he escaped to Argentina where he worked as a mechanic. In 1960, his alias and hiding place became known to the Mossad and Shin Bet, Israeli secret services, and they launched a plan to kidnap him and bring him to trial in Israel. Many of the agents were Holocaust survivors and they were surprised to find this evil genius just to be a common man. Eichmann was smuggled into Israel where he was tried and executed for his crimes. Neal Bascomb's book has received positive reviews with the San Francisco Chronicle saying, "Although the story of Eichmann's capture has been told before, it's still a fantastic story, and deserves retelling."
