The Last Werewolf by Glen Duncan
The Last Werewolf begins with Jake Marlowe learning of the death of a werewolf in Berlin by the World Organisation for the Control of Occult Phenomena (WOCOR). This leaves Jake to be the last werewolf and WOCOR has him in their sites. After 200 years of having to devour a human once a month, Jake is depressed and ready for death. He's haunted by the wolf part of his life, even as he tries to choose victims the rest of humanity will not miss. Jake also learns that vampires want him dead for their own reasons. Hunted by these two groups, Jake decides if his days are at an end, then he's going out on his own terms. Glen Duncan's novel has received positive reviews with BookPage saying, "To say much more would spoil the fun of reading The Last Werewolf, a supernatural novel that somehow reads like the best of literary fiction. Elegant and thoughtful while thrilling and violent, this is a book to sink your teeth into."
