The Lost Garden by Helen Humphreys

In Helen Humprey's The Lost Garden, Gwen Davis, a 35-year old plain woman, leaves her beloved London at the beginning of World War II for the countryside. She's lived a lonely and loveless life, but that all changes when she volunteers for agricultural work at a neglected estate. There she meets Jane and Raley, and her love for both of them makes her life blossom as well as the garden she tends. The Minneapolis Star Tribune calls it "subtle and deeply affecting."
