The Pythons Autobiography by The Pythons

The Pythons is the story of the Monty Python comedy troupe, compiled by British film critic Bob McCabe from interviews with the surviving cast members. It's a large, coffee-table book filled with more than 1000 photos and detailing their career from their beginnings to their eventual breakup. Each of the Pythons gives their perspective and recollections of their zany comedy and their personality conflicts and frayed nerves inevitable among all their egos. This book is probably a must for any serious Monty Python fan. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch says of The Pythons, "[T]his Python look in the mirror is incredibly funny. What was happening behind the scenes often surpassed the anarchic lunacy beamed across the telly, which only helps illustrate that Monty Python was something unlike anything the entertainment world had ever seen. Something absurdly original. Something ahead of the rapidly changing times."
