Zero History is he third in the series of novels by William Gibson (following
Pattern Recognition and
Spook Country) and brings back two characters, a recovering drug addict, Milgrim, and a former rock star, Hollis Henry. Hired, or perhaps controlled, by Hubertus Bigend, the businessman who employs "cool-hunters," Milgrim and Hollis investigate a clothing line that uses secret branding. Unknown to them, though, is that Bigend's operation has been infiltrated and a rival group is seeking the same information.
Zero History has received mostly positive reviews with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel saying, "The real connections that Henry and Milgrim make in
Zero History aren't with the changing nature of reality or the future of post-cognition marketing, they're with other people. And there's something unexpectedly satisfying in that."
